Drip System

The Drip system is definitely the simplest and most used hydroponic system in the world. It’s widely used in commercial green houses for growing tomatoes and peppers. Growers use the drip system technique for its low maintenance, simplicity and its tendency to deliver foolproof results. Operation is simple, a timer triggers the pump and it delivers nutrient enriched water to the base of the plant by means of a small drip line. Excess run-off solution drains from the growing tray and is collected in the reservoir. Commonly used mediums for drip systems include rockwool and perlite, although clay pellets are also used by some growers.
